Why On The Record?

Simply Put? Curiosity. Love.

Vinyl records have made a comeback and are loved among all ages groups.

In fact, vinyl sales in the U.S. increased from 21.5 million units in 2020 to 41.7 million units last year, according to a 2021 report from MRC Data-Billboard.

This surge has led me to connect my love of vinyl records to create On The Record. In this series, you will meet Smashed Plastic cofounder Andy Weber, record store owner Marie Henderson, and Outlier Audio audio technician Jon Taccona. Each is a Chicago business owner that has a connection through records.
